Emily Ferragine

Emily’s interest in Landscape Architecture sparked from her love of the outdoors while growing up in a small town in rural Northwestern Pennsylvania. In the Spring of 2022 she graduated at the top of her class at Penn State University and was awarded the 2022 Penn State LAF Olmsted Scholar award and the 2022 ASLA Student Merit Award. Due to the unique circumstances of being a student during a pandemic, Emily was given unique opportunities to progress her design skills by working remotely on several projects such as developing a tree management plan with the National Park Service for the Flight 93 National Memorial and designing a botanical garden at the base of Udzungwa Mountains National Park in Tanzania. These experiences have allowed Emily to widen her approach to problem solving and design as she starts her career at STUDIO39.
