GW Solar Walk

Scope

To provide a pedestrian connection to two of the University’s educational buildings. Facilitate charrette with stakeholders and students. Incorporate the student’s design concepts for the Solar walk while reducing conflicts with existing site conditions. The design is the first piece of the University’s new master plan and will provide solar covered trellis’s that will help to minimize one of the education building’s overall energy consumption. Sustainable solutions include 100% native plant materials, multiple rain gardens, permeable pavements, bioswale, solar volatic panels and rainwater collection from trellis roofs.
