Eisenhower Station Park

Scope

The Eisenhower Station Park will be the primary urban plaza as visitors enter into the Eisenhower East redevelopment. The park will also redesign the existing drive isles and area under the metro platform to incorporate a more pedestrian friendly, community based urban space for its users. Multiple green spaces under the platform will assist in enhancing the pedestrian movements through the plaza. The park will also feature the relocation of the Eisenhower Statue that currently sits within the roundabout at the end of Eisenhower Ave. This area will incorporate a large interactive fountain that can be shut off to create an outdoor entertainment area. Fixed bench seating as well as some centrally located shade trees will provide for a diversity of pedestrian outdoor experiences.
