Spring Hill - Fairfax County, VA
The Spring Hill project, built on 46.8 acres of land abutting the former Lorton prison site is an active and senior adult residential gated community of patio homes and apartments. Design work consisted of site interior, perimeter streetscape and open space character development for the community. Site interior development included street tree placement, the specification of street furnishings and the design of public open space. The project served as the pilot project for the adaptive reuse of the old prison site. Construction was completed in 2008.
