Located on fifty-four acres in western Henrico County,
Grayson Hill is a luxury townhome community consisting of 202 attached units.
The design team was asked to revisit a previously approved site plan. The client
wanted to update the plan using a more modern design approach and to create a
more 'walkable' community. The new design creates more open space for recreational
activities, as well as connections to nearby retail areas, through a comprehensive
trail system. The design utilizes a strong desire to keep as much existing vegetation
intact as possible in order to maintain an older community feel. The first phase
of the project was completed in 2006 and has received several awards from the
National Association of Home Builder's including the "Best Landscape Design
for an Attached Project, "and "Best Signage Program."
