Working with the client and site contractor, STUDIO39
developed a workable garden space incorporating modern convenience while retaining
the historical character of the property. Highlights of the planting plan include
the preservation and addition to existing mature American Holly groves. The sun-drenched
courtyard has a flagstone entry terrace terminating with a cascading water sculpture.
The sculpture provides a tranquil rill of water into the reflective swimming
pool. The courtyard forecourt, along Saint Asaph Street is delineated by the
refurbished iron fencing and gate. All design elements required historical Board
of Architecture Review approval prior to construction.
