The Latitude – Virginia Square Apartments Breaking Ground in June

04.15.2014

The Penrose group is anticipating a June groundbreaking for a two-building high-rise multifamily apartment complex in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. Dubbed the Latitude, the 12-story development will add 265 apartments and approximately 5,900 square feet of retail and cultural space by the Virginia Square Metro. This urban infill project will feature a large outdoor plaza complete with diverse seating areas, water features, sculptural elements, and a stage for outdoor concerts and interactive digital screen on the building façade for light shows and outdoor movie events. The site also has a large amenity space on the roof of the building with a large reflective water feature, bocce court, movie wall, outdoor kitchen and lounge areas. A smaller amenity area on the 12th floor provides a grilling area complete with shade structure.  Both the plaza and amenity areas were designed by STUDIO39.
