Will Richardson, PLA, ASLA

Landscape Architect

Will Richardson

Will joined Studio39 in June of 2013.  His passion for landscape architecture began in his teenage years, albeit unknowingly, as a result and fusion of several factors including assisting his parents with landscaping around the house, his love of the outdoors and his affinity for building things and drawing plans.  When considering majors at the beginning of his college career, landscape architecture seemed like an excellent fit.

Will’s professional career began in 2008 at a small landscape architecture firm in Norfolk, Virginia.  Because of the size of the firm, he was exposed to a wide variety of tasks and had the privilege to begin to develop a comprehensive set of skills early in his career.  Prior to joining Studio39, Will contributed to the design of an assortment of projects ranging in scope from mixed use development, streetscape and transportation planning, historically based projects, to institutional campuses and community parks.

Will is interested in all aspects of site design and strives to create attractive places that function well and sustainably in every facet.  He believes that teamwork and utilizing the knowledge of allied design professionals is synonymous with the success of any project.  Clients appreciate Will’s attention to detail, his responsiveness and his personable nature.  Ultimately, Will’s passion for design and landscape architecture blooms from seeing people use and enjoy the places that he has helped create.
